Wool Samples

Wool is a fabric you judge with your hands as much as your eyes. Photography flattens it. What a picture cannot show you is the slight give in the weave, the dry matte surface that refuses to shine, or the way a natural fibre takes colour in a softer and less uniform manner than a synthetic — the very thing that gives a wool-upholstered bed its depth in a plain room.

So handle it. Run the swatch between your fingers, hold it up to a window to see the structure of the weave, and set it next to anything woollen you already own so you know exactly what register you are buying into. A minute with the cloth in your hand tells you more than an afternoon of scrolling.

Because each bed is upholstered to order from its own roll, the swatch is a faithful guide rather than a laboratory match — natural cloth varies a little between batches, and we quote the tolerance we work to in the specifications below.
