Red, pink, lavender purple or blue — four colours, which makes a change from a rail of black training tops. This is the women's compression top, a close-fitting layer for the gym rather than a relaxed one. Wear it on its own for weights and classes, under a looser tee when the weather turns, or as a base layer for running. The fit is the whole point of a compression top, so it should feel snug going on rather than comfortable in a roomy way. The fabric is polyamide with elastane, and some pieces are listed as polyamide with spandex. Spandex and elastane are two names for the same stretch fibre, so there is no real difference between them. Polyamide itself is smooth against the skin and takes repeated washing well, and the stretch fibre is what lets the top move with you and settle back afterwards. Sizes are S, M, L, XL and XXL. Take the size you normally wear. Going up a size in compression kit tends to turn it into an ordinary top, which is not what you came for, and there are looser training tops in the range if that is the feel you actually want. The brights are worth a little care in the wash. Cool water, similar colours, and keep them away from anything white for the first few runs. Fabric softener is no friend to stretch fabric — it builds up and leaves it flat — so skip it, and avoid a hot tumble dry. Hung on a rack, this sort of fabric dries quickly. UK delivery as standard, and returns are handled by SyncShip if the colour or the fit is not what you hoped.
