Wall Panel Bed

The Wall Panel Bed treats the wall behind the bed as part of the bed. Four upholstered panels hang above a divan base finished in the same cloth, so the head of the bed becomes a run of padded wall rather than a single board bolted to a frame. It suits a plain modern bedroom and a traditional one equally well; the fabric you choose decides which way it leans.

The panels are not fixed to the base, which is what makes the whole idea practical. They arrive in pairs, so they come through doorways and around landings whatever size you have ordered, and they hang on mitred wooden French brackets fixed to the wall — much the same job as hanging a heavy mirror. Four panels are supplied with every size, which we find is the right number; if you want a wider run, ask and we will make more.

Underneath, the divan base includes two drawers at no extra cost, or you can upgrade to gas lift ottoman storage and use the whole area beneath the mattress. Bases are made in small double, double, king and super king, and panels and base are upholstered together to order so the two match exactly.
