Chanel Bed

Chanel is the more restrained of our upholstered frames. The headboard rises to 145cm — tall enough to sit back against with a book, low enough to leave a picture rail or a sloping ceiling alone — and it holds that same height in double, kingsize and superking, so the proportions do not shift as the bed gets wider. It is a bed that settles into a room rather than announcing itself.

Ordered with gas lift ottoman storage, Chanel is built on our solid ottoman base, made in two halves. That gives a continuous surface beneath the mattress and a stiffer, stronger storage space inside. Because the base sits flush with the mattress and the headboard drops flush to the floor, the ottoman version measures slightly smaller overall than the standard frame — worth knowing before you measure up.

Every Chanel is built only once it has been ordered, in the size, fabric and colour you have chosen. That is also why one bed differs very slightly from the next, so check doorways, landings and the space the bed has to live in with a small tolerance in hand.
