Luxury Bespoke Bench

An end-of-bed bench is one of those pieces that either finishes a bedroom or clutters it, and width is usually what decides which. This one is made in three widths that correspond to double, king and super king beds, so it lines up with the foot end instead of falling short of it or overhanging awkwardly.

The upholstery is channelled — a run of vertical flutes across the seat and front — which gives the plush velvet somewhere to catch the light and keeps a long, low shape from looking like a slab. It sits on our Vogue Gold base, a slim metallic frame that lifts the bench clear of the floor and stops it reading as heavy.

At 40cm high it works as a seat for putting shoes on, and at 32cm deep it takes a folded throw or an overnight bag without pushing out into the walkway. Each bench is made to order, so it can be specified to sit alongside a bed you are ordering at the same time.
